ESI welcomes Stanwell Corporation Limited to visit the first Australian commissioned iron flow battery

ESI Asia Pacific had the pleasure of hosting Stanwell Corporation Limited on 17 January at the QUT National Battery Testing Centre (NBTC). Visiting the first of our long-duration, grid-scale batteries in Australia.

This battery is fully commissioned and is currently demonstrating its capabilities in Queensland’s scorching summer conditions. It is the first of its kind in Australia, with more already on their way.

From 2024 onwards, we will assemble iron-flow batteries from our facility in Maryborough for wholesale electricity generators, energy retailers, and commercial and industrial customers. Powered by the core technology from our technology partner ESS, Inc.

A thank you again from all the ESI team to Stanwell for their visit.
